Program: Strengthening grassroots food capacities.
General objective: To ensure that populations can lead productive and healthy lives by improving basic food security in communities.
Activities to be carried out:
- Provide food products and related quick-effect inputs (seeds, tools, livestock, basic utensils) to affected people;
- Provide emergency food rations to people affected by humanitarian crises;
- Strengthen profitable agricultural products from seeds within the farming communities in the D.R of Congo countries;
- Create and supervise, support farmers on mutual solidarity in seed conservation;
- Preventing malnutrition in populations suffering from severe food insecurity
- Fight against severe malnutrition among children;
- Strengthen, Rehabilitate psycho states and increase improved seeds;
- Create agricultural cooperatives to fight the food crisis;
- Organize a pilot farm of small livestock with goats, pigs and bakery;
- Rehabilitate and develop deserted agricultural roads in poor condition;
- Organize agricultural cooperatives for seed and waste conservation
- Establishment of facilities for agricultural product processing units;
- Build and rehabilitate storage depots for agricultural products;
- Setting up school food canteens;
